Lyric Video | Videography & Motion Graphics
Client: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Role: Film Director, videographer, art director, editor
Tools: Adobe Premiere
For this project, I created a visual lyric video for the single “He Won’t Let Me Down.” I developed a playful concept where each time the lyric “He won’t let me down” played, the performer physically jumped and landed on the word “down,” with each landing on a new color to create visual rhythm and progression.
I hand-crafted physical poster boards for the lyrics and mapped out the jumps using footprint markers to keep every take perfectly aligned. Filming took place outdoors on an especially windy day, which added an extra challenge — but we adapted on set and kept the energy and timing consistent.
I filmed and edited the video myself in Adobe Premiere Pro, syncing each jump precisely to the music and refining the pacing to match the emotion of the song. Additionally, I designed the YouTube banner and thumbnail using Photoshop and Illustrator, ensuring the branding and visual style were consistent across all platforms. This project was a fun blend of concepting, hands-on production, motion design, and post-production storytelling.
